Two of Cups ( Koros)~ 22nd February 2008.

The Suit of "Cups" or in Romani "Koros" represent all things to do with the heart and the emotional side of our being, indeed should we be reading an ordinary deck of cards we would be looking at the suit of "hearts"

Two beautiful bitti tikno's (little children) drink from full cups, amid an idyllic scence, lush green vegetation surrounds them, and a pretty painted vardo sits beside a lovely river, and a crow watches over them from a tree. Crows are a symbol of wisdom and "knowing" and are sometimes said to speak and impart their wisdom or knowledge at times of dispute, knowledge that they have gained from sitting at vantage points watching and listening.

Who are these beautiful children, the reality would of course depend on a broader picture that would be revealed in a full reading, but for today's purposes the possibilities could be a loving brother and sister who enjoy a close bond playing near their home, childhood sweet hearts who will one day marry or maybe they are not children at all but adults, soulmates who enjoy the closest bond never having to resort to pretence, who can be both one half of a perfect unity, or a whole being only when both are present, and enjoy the purity of this uncomplicated bond portrayed by the innocence of childhood. The boy holds in his hand 2 roses seperate stems but intertwined most surely a symbol of love...thorns and all ;-)..whatever their journey will be let us wish them latcho drom ( safe journey)

I drew this card upright, as such it foresees the beginnings of true love, and enduring partnership, or a very special friendship, look out for someone sending you a rose to seal or repair a friendship.

Reversed, things are not so rosey , friendships and relationships are due to be broken, promises of love or friendship are false and decieptful.

Your willingness to help out in a good cause is admirable, even it is involves some indignity, you have a strict sense of duty and loyalty, but tend to self recriminate if you fail to keep your own stringent standards, learn to forgive your own shortfalls, and forgive others theirs. Take time to relax, the work will still be there tomorrow.

The Moon (Choon)~ 21st February 2008

A Juk and a weshen-juk ( dog and a fox) howl at the full moon, one each side of a small stream, there are 2 vardos in the background that appear to be in darkness,could the dog and the fox represent people. The domestic and tame in the guise of the dog, the wild and untamed "little dog of the woods" is the fox. Does this scence represent the different aspects of the human condition, the yearning for hearth and home sometimes overcome by the urge for a little walk on the wild side.

The beautiful silver ball that looks so magnificent but shedding eerie silver light has the power to move oceans, a sign of the feminine, she like womankind has a 28 day cycle. A crab sits within the stream a sinister and misplaced creature in this setting, but he has a link to the moon who is the mistress of his watery abode.

This image on first sight has a quiet peacefullness about it, but as you gaze there is a coldness and stillness that brings a shiver and a sense of all not being well

It is interesting and strange that this card was drawn today, as tonight is a full moon. The full moon is an important night, but it is also a turning point, a night when new growth has ceased for a short time, and we head for a period of darkness, do not worry, the growth and the light will return before too long but for now it is time to take care, as the light begins to fade over the coming days things seen in the shadows may not be as they seem ( watch out !! you could get caught up with that crab! ). I am still concerned for my friend, If he reads this I hope he understands what I am saying to him.

The moon represents emotions and the unconcious. Deceipt is in the air, the moonlight although so very romantic can play tricks on the eyes, a tricky female may be at work, remember that crab, there maybe an unseen foe. The moon unharnesses the Psychic.

Reversed

Worries and fears might not be as bad as first imagined, inner strength helps to overcome problems, trust your intuition.

If Today is Your Birthday

If you struggle to express your feelings, this is not due to any failing from yourself, but due to your unsuitable surroundings, being born on 21st of Februray you should possess great communication skills, but you are very sensitive so your enviroment must be right. (I aologise for this being posted a day late...the card was however drawn yesterday)

A beautiful young Gyspy girl ( Romani Rakli) kneels by a pool under a starry sky, she is so clearly deep in thought,wishing and dreaming maybe?

The 2 brightest stars hang above her head and her heart, in the background is her vardo, but her thoughts seem to be taking her far from home as she pours water from 2 utensils, (a sign of emtional investment), you can see much of the water is poured back into the pool, the rest from the 2nd utensil pours into the ground but trickes back into the pool in 4 small streams.

This really must be my favorite card, the beautiful Star! The Romani people call this card "The Wishing card". To me it is symbolic of a time where wishes and dreams can be realised at last. Some will come easily whilst others may take a little time to become reality ( the 4 small streams). It is a time when the heart and head can work in harmony and with equal influence. Today , this card being drawn on the eve of the full moon is significant

Upright the Star is a herald of all things good, Enlightenment, true love, inspirational times ahead, dreams and wishes becomming a reality harmony is life and realtionships

When I drew this card it was reversed, I feel I am influenced by concern for a friend who at this time is in the process of making a catastrophic decision, and is blind to both reality and deaf to sound advice.

The beautiful Star when reversed means a time of chaotic thoughts, being willfully misled and decieved following false dreams and disasterous relationships, disappointment and heartache. Beware potentional lovers may not be all they seem !

I have been reading the Tarot since I was 12 years old, at the time of writing that is some 38 years !.

I am 100% genuine Romany Gypsy, my skill has not been learnt from a book, but has been passed down through the generations

I have read for people from all over the world, from many different walks of life and from diversely different backgrounds.From Politicians( Including one UK Prime Minister, to A List film stars, business men and women , mums dads husbands wives and lovers.

Throughout, there is one common denominator, and that is that people rarely come for a reading when all is going well in their lives. It is usually at times of difficulty or indecision that people find themselves seeking guidance from the Tarot.

A good reader must at all times be sensitive to the possible vulnerability of the questioner, who although may present themselves as self assured and confident, there is every chance they are emotionally fragileTarot will not as commonly misconcieved "tell the future" any reader who makes such bold claims, is either deliberately misleading people to his or her own advantage, or, they simply do not understand the Tarot and how it works.Tarot is a Divination that means it "reveals what is hidden ", indeed the word Tarot means "hidden".
